So that's when it started...

In 1973, not only did I debut, so did the best-known version of the Oscar Meyer wiener song.

(It had different lyrics before that, according to Wikipedia: the first version from 1963 went Oh, I wish I were an Oscar Mayer wiener/ That is what I truly want to be/ 'Cause if I were an Oscar Mayer wiener/ Everyone would be in love with me.

((A more sinister verse was added in 1965: Oh, I'm glad I'm not an Oscar Mayer wiener/ That is what I'd never want to be/ Cause if I were an Oscar Mayer wiener/ There would soon be nothing left of me!))

This history lesson has been prompted by KINK FM's "KINK XL" celebration of its 40 years on the air. So I'm getting reminded of when a bunch of stuff debuted.
