I was lost ’til you were found

Via both hernewshoes and Setsuled: Put your media player on shuffle, and write down the first line of the first twenty songs. Post the poem that results. The first line of the twenty-first is the title.

I cheated out of necessity, and by “necessity” I mean “I don’t have a media player or anything that shuffles,” so I grabbed several CDs – sometimes randomly, sometimes a little less randomly – and did my best to choose a song from each at random.

The result:

I was lost ’til you were found

He left no time to regret
She keeps her Moet et Chandon in a pretty cabinet
I heard it in the night, words that thoughtless speak
Cupid hath pulled back his sweetheart’s bow
Doctor, Doctor, I’m in bed
(So the story begins…)
The silicon chip inside her head gets switched to Overload
I’ll start this off without any words
We’re taking our clothes off in the wrong order
Atlanta’s a distant memory
To Canaan’s land, I’m on my way
She sees herself in little black lines, this is not meant to be
On the day the duck was born
I know you know what you know, but you should know by now that you’re not me
So many mouths to feed on the farm
Before listening to this song, you may think the chords are going wrong
Animals came from miles around
I’m so tired of playing, playing with this bow and arrow
Dance me to your beauty with a burning violin
I’ve got nothin’ left to say, but I’m gonna say it anyway
