Out I went, indeed, armed with hat, coat, and umbrella. I visited downtown, stopped at Border's and Starbucks to use gift cards, and browsed Powell's. Now purchased: Danny Elfman's score to Hellboy II: The Golden Army (so Aaron, if you were going to have me review that, I'm already covered for a copy!) and Neil Gaiman's The Graveyard Book, which I'll pass along to Alicia after reading. I also ordered cmpriest's first hardcover Fathom from Border's, to send them more business and to give Cherie Priest one more sale, (I hope) making a Border's muckymuck think hey, someone's supporting her enough to order her by name!
A theater playing Frank Miller's version of The Spirit had on its marquee THE SPIRT. I like that mistake.
I'm now home, shoeless and sockless and in sweats and a sweatshirt, and I'm comfy. Good state to be in. (Oregon's a good state to be in, too.)
