Eat Big!

One of the things I love about blood donation days: I get to eat. Meaning eat more. Eating well beforehand makes the system more prepared to let some blood go, and eating afterwards helps your system as well.

Eaten so far this morning: a chicken, mushroom, and barley soup, a raspberry-yogurt-milk-sugar blend (now I want to say "Sugarrrrr!" like Serj in System of a Down), some bacon, a lot of juice, and (in a moment) my supplements and a hard-boiled egg. Midday I'll go donate, then Mom will pick me up and take me to lunch at Nicholas's. That'll be my special post-donation meal.
