Hoth comes back to Portland

Better than before. Productive, if insane, day at work.

There. The basic life-update chit-chat is done. On to bigger news!

* My friend from '01 on, Matt Kaplan (philly420pdx), is in town! He's usually in Hawaii. I'll see him Friday night!

* And then after that, also/still on Friday night, I'll attend a cool charity screening:

Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back.
Indeed. $5 per ticket (ALL PROCEEDS TO DOERNBECHER CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL), Friday night at the Bagdad, doors at 10 p.m. about 9:30 p.m., a collection of film shorts for about 20 minutes (Bobby "Fatboy" Roberts has compiled the DVD), then That Movie. Not seen on Portland screens since 1997. ROCK.

Adding to the ROCK: there will be people in costumes. Very good costumes.

Yeah, people will want to show up early for this. Cort and Fatboy are wondering if people are camping out already.

To commemorate this upcoming show, read again of how lines from the Star Wars series, um, change amusingly when you throw in the word "pants"...
